Adventures in royalty

Sassy bloggers Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan from gofugyourself.com brought us this gem of a novel. 452 pages long, this journey into what many people on Goodreads are calling “Kate Middleton fan-fiction” is well-worth the investment (although admittedly, I read it in two and a half days). I’m impressed with the amount of research it took to write this, and there were so many parts I wanted to read aloud to anyone who would listen (which is no one – I know this doesn’t work from trying to perform what I thought were hilarious read alouds of David Sedaris to uninterested, happenstance bystanders).

This novel contained far too much melodrama, and the constant roadblocks got tiresome, but I suppose it’s realistic to have these features with such an unlikely tale about a tomboy, Midwest American marrying a perfect, handsome, and gracious prince.
